We are moving out from our apt and we needed some help removing some of my dogs and cat P stains and odor. Shawn is super profesional, explained about the cleaning process and the cleaning products that they use. Reasonables prices. Above the Rest is the best I'd highly recommend them! Our carpet looks great and smells really good!

It's pretty amazing when a company garners five stars consistently from Yelpers, but my experience with them totally attests to their service - they deserve the five stars! We hadn't had our carpets cleaned in four years - our carpets had sustained a minor flood and two young children with numerous potty accidents and food spills. More recently, and the reason I called in the professionals, is that my toddler poured a pint of CARROT JUICE on our carpets, and smushed the half-chewed raspberries in his mouth all over our sofa. Above the Rest came the next day, and spent 4 hours thoroughly cleaning the entire area. My carpets and sofa looked new after they were done, the transformation was remarkable. I was certain that the carrot juice stain would rise through again due to saturation, and it didn't. In fact, none of the stains did! I plan to use them for all my carpet and upholstery cleaning from now on!

This is our first experience using Above The Rest as we usually use ChemDry. We noticed that our carpet was looking very old and stained and decided after reading the reviews to go with Above The Rest. After the first cleaning new spots appeared and they came out right away to go over the carpet again (this was not due to lack of cleaning the first time we have been using another service for a very long time) . Our carpet looks great and our business will definitely be using Above The Rest in the future. Also, I must add, the customer service is amazing and they explain the do's and don'ts of keeping your carpet clean.

I just hate to give Shawn & Above the Rest yet another glowing review, but I'm afraid I must..... They're that good!!
The first thing I noticed when he came to the house was that he took time to listen to my needs & concerns - I am so tired of the residue left behind from other carpet cleaners that attracts dirt - so I told him that I wanted it rinsed twice so that it would be "squeaky clean". He did that, and also explained about the type of cleaning solutions used.
His energy & enthusiasm carry through to the rest of his company and that is what makes them so great! It's always nice to work with professionals who care about their work.

Above the Rest was excellent to us. Not only were they on time and within our budget, but they took the extra time to get all of the stains out.
We have a doberman that leaves muddy paw prints everywhere and Shawn took the time to get them ALL out, and I do mean ALL off them. Our carpet looks brand new again!!!
He also did a great job on the sofa and made time in his busy preholiday schedule to do our home.
I definitely recommend them and would use them again!

Wonderful local business. They spent a great amount of time on my carpets, and came back to remove a nasty peppermint vodka stain (which I thought would need patching with new carpet.) Pricing and service much better than Coit, 1000 times better than Chem Dry. Highly recommended.

We chose this company based on all of the great reviews and were not disappointed. The owner, Shawn, was very professional. During the walk through, I pointed out our carpet's problem spots (pet stains) and mentioned that the last company we had used left the carpet wetter than we would have liked. Shawn took the time to ensure that our carpets were thoroughly cleaned and as dry as possible and even set up a powerful fan to speed up the drying process. He said that if after drying we noticed any remaining spots, we should call and he'd come out to go over them again. It's now a week later and our carpets look and smell fantastic. Shawn called two days after the cleaning and left a message checking to see if we were satisfied with the service - we certainly were and will use him again in the future

I hired Above the Rest to clean my carpet, and I highly recommend the company for three reasons:
- Communication The first time I called Above the Rest, I got professional and unambiguous answers to my questions on price, warranty, etc. Subsequently I had a few emails with Veronica and got replies quickly. On the service day, the guy showed me a few add-on options and stated clearly what these options are and let me decide. And one week after the job, I got follow-up call to make sure I am satisfied with their service.
- Courtesy When doing the estimate, I completely forgot a small area (linking garage level to living room) which is about 6 sq ft. I showed the guy this area on the service day, who immediately agreed to clean it for free as a courtesy.
- Job The guy worked hard, and the carpet was well cleaned. My carpet is pretty new (a bit more than 2 years), and has been well taken care, so I do not have the experiences as other yelpers whose stubborn stains got removed, but I am sure Above the Rest would try its best to do the cleaning job.
All in one I am satisfied. I have a feeling this is a company that values its reputation and would go the extra mile to make its customers happy.

Above the Rest lives by its namesake! This family-owned business has excellent customer service and delivers results. I was very happy with the results....
I inherited a Pottery Barn down blend white sofa from a girlfriend who was moving. It had a lot of stains that needed to be cleaned. I called Above the Rest and they answered with great courtesy and they were able to book an appointment for service within a couple of days. On the day of service in the morning, I received a call from Above the Rest confirming the time the technician was scheduled to arrive. I got another call closer to the appointment time with news that the technician's job is running longer than expected and the technician would be delayed. They kept me updated couple of hours later that there would be further delays. The customer that the the technician was servicing kept on asking for additional services. I was getting frustrated since it was getting delayed further, so I mentioned that I would like to cancel this appointment. Because of this inconvenience, they offered to clean my sofa for $50 if I'd like to. I said yes. The technician showed up couple of hours later. He got to work right away. He was delayed due to an accident on 280 in addition to the demanding customer prior to coming to us. I believe his name is Brian (hope the spelling is correct!)
Brian was very thorough and professional. He worked on the stains for a couple of hours and got almost all of them out. Some of the stains have been there a long time and I didn't think it was possible to remove them. He is very hardworking and you could see why this family-owned company has great customer satisfaction. After I paid for the service and Brian left, I got a call from the owner. He asked me how the cleaning went . He told me he would refund me the $50 back and my sofa cleaning would essentially be free. He kept his word, the next day I got a check in the mail. I am amazed and very happy that this kind of service still exists. I highly recommend Above the Rest and will use their services again and again.

We had a relatively large job that required the cleaning of three rooms of stone (travertine), numerous carpets, couches and other furniture. We are VERY picky about the companies that come to work in our house. We called several tile and carpet cleaning services, including several of the national chains. It was clear that the chains have many crews, and that you would not be dealing with the owner. It was also hard to get them to give me an estimate. Above The Rest was the 3rd or 4th company we called. We hired them because we were extremely impressed with Shawn, the owner, over the phone. Shawn explained the process clearly, confirmed that he would personally do the job, and gave me useful information for purposes of estimating the cost of the job.
Shawn followed through on that promise of personally doing the work, and did an absolutely terrific job at a very reasonable price. Our kitchen stone was very dirty from several years of cooking grease, etc. Shawn and his dad (who works with him) spent several hours working on this room, and made the stone look like new! They got the same results from our couch and ottoman, which had lots of dog-related wear and stains. Same result with numerous carpets, that were also very stained. Simply put, they treated our house and our items like they were working on their own home. They worked their butts off, spending many hours on the job. They were also extremely good natured and easy to deal with. As I noted above, the price was very reasonable for all the work they did. (They even threw in a few upstairs carpets for free.)
I have absolutely no doubt that this is the ONLY company that we will ever use in the future for these services. I am not just saying this, and I have no relationship with this company. They are simply that good!

We called Above the Rest based on the Yelp reviews. We had a friend staying in our guest room for a few months and had no idea that he was trashing the carpet with motor oil and a leaky mini fridge. We have a light beige pile carpet and we thought it would have to be replaced. We called Avove the Rest and they came out and cleaned the carpet. They assured us that they would come out as many times as needed until we were satisfied. After the first go round dried, we called a few days later to have them go over some areas again. No problem. They came out, hit the areas that still showed stains and now it looks great! We'll be calling them any time we need our carpets cleaned!

We consulted Above the Rest with regards to water damage on one of our carpets. Shawn was very responsive and drove up to the city to consult with us. He was incredibly courteous, put on booties before entering our house, and spent a fair amount of time assessing the entire situation. He used all of the appropriate instruments to assess and recommended a course of action. In this case, it was a fairly simple carpet pad replacement and cleaning, but he recommended vendors for both services who were responsive and excellent. He also gave me a lot of advice about addressing the long-term water risks in the room. He saved me a lot of money by recommending good, fairly-priced vendors for the services I needed. We had a consultation from another water damage vendor who wanted to do the same things, but for twice the cost.
Above the Rest will be my first call if and when I next have to address a water damage situation. They are great.
